Video games may be useful for improving student interest in pursuing STEM content areas. In order to explore their potential, reliable measures of interest must be developed that are appropriate to the game and that are theoretically motivated. This study presents pilot data of a survey that is being developed to measure interest associated with the game Citizen Science.
